Wedding colors, part one

Yesterday I told my younger sister Emily that I could take her to the store to activate her new phone (her first smartphone ever, if you can believe it!) but first we needed to make “a few stops” for wedding stuff.

After four hours of shopping she was begging me to take her home, saying the phone wasn’t even worth it anymore…ha! What a rookie! :)

Sometime around hour number two, we were browsing the flower section at Michael’s where Emily went 0 for 3 trying to pick out something in my wedding colors.

“Is this your color?”

“No.”

“What about this?”

“No!”

“This?”

“NO! NO! NO! ALL WRONG!”

Being Bridezilla is so fun sometimes.

So, in order to help my maid of honor, below are a few pictures of the color palette I’m shooting for. Basically it’s just a mix of neutrals: beige, gold, grey, blush, dusty pink and mauve. I was thinking it’d be a pretty soft look that would contrast nicely against the industrial vibe of the venue.

The bridesmaids are each picking out their own dresses within that color palette. So far it’s turning out well! I’ll post pictures of their outfits later once they’re all set.
