It didn’t take much time on Pinterest for me to learn that “bridesmaid proposals” are a thing now. Hoping to find something with a little humor, I poked around the internet until I came across this cute and funny photo book that shows different styles of bridesmaid dresses over the years, starting as early as 1930. The title is so great, too: “You can wear it again.” Riiiight. You wouldn’t believe some of the crazy outfits in there!!!! Let’s just say there were not one but TWO different groups wearing fairy wings…
I promised my bridesmaids there would be no ugly dresses, but I wonder how many years will pass before we look back and laugh at what they wore!
Along with these books, I couldn’t resist printing out pictures of some of the fun times I’ve had with my favorite girls. You can check out the mini collages I gave them below.
More to come about what they will wear. Maybe it’s time to bring back the big, poofy sleeves!

What cute pictures of you and your bridesmaids, Katie, (plus it’s super cool that 4 of them are also my nieces). I would so love to be a part of your special day, but all is still unsure, regarding my surgery healing progress. It seems to be going slowly but surely, yet it’s hard to plan how far into the future I’ll be OK enough, to handle the trip of flying back to Illinois, etc. I know that I need to make a decision by your RSVP deadline, which I’m not sure when that is. I stay in touch with your grandma the most, so I’ll find out about specific dates through her. You seem to be having so much fun planning your big event, and it’s great for me to feel that I’m being a part of everything, somewhat, through your website. You’re doing a super job of putting it all together in an entertaining and enjoyable way! I have you and the family in my thoughts and heart. All my love, Aunt Dee

Hi Aunt Dee Dee!!!!! So nice to hear from you! I hope you are feeling better and that you have a speedy recovery from the surgery. You don’t have to worry about the RSVP for awhile. We will send an email later (maybe in a month or so?) as the “official” invitation, and we’ll put a deadline in there for the RSVP but it probably won’t be until May or June. Also I’m so glad to hear you enjoy the website! It has been fun putting it together, and now that the wedding is getting closer, I’m doing a lot more planning so there should be more updates on the blog on a regular basis. Hopefully that way you’ll feel connected the whole way through! :)
Love, Katie
