Here are a few things I want to draw your attention to before the big day…
- We will have a yellow school bus available after the wedding that will pick up guests from the venue and take everyone back to the Raffaello Hotel. It is making one trip only, and it will likely leave the venue around 12:15 or 12:30 a.m. You do not have to be a hotel guest to ride the bus. If you want to take it to get back downtown or if you want to join us at the “after party” at the hotel bar, feel free to hop on if there is room.
- One of our frequently asked questions: The event ends at midnight. Last call will be at 11:30 p.m. and the last song of the night at 11:55 p.m. “There are no happy endings. Endings are sad, so let’s have a happy beginning and a happy middle.”
- Don’t forget to sign our online guestbook, which can be found here. We will not have a guestbook at the wedding so we’d love to get your comments, thoughts, memories, etc. here on the world wide web for us to enjoy for years to come. I know there are more than four of you reading this blog… ;)
- While we won’t have a physical guestbook, we will have some fun advice cards you can fill out for me and/or Justin. I can’t wait to hear what you come up with! Here’s one piece of “advice” my coworker shared with me this week: “Usually when I have a dispute with my spouse, I don’t talk to her for a few days. Then it becomes a game of who will crack first.” Lol
- If you take any pictures throughout the night, we’d love to see them! If you go to wedpics.com, you can upload your photos to a private gallery that only wedding guests will have access to. That way you can post as many as you want without worrying about going overboard on Facebook, haha. Our unique wedding ID is: KatieJustin711. Or, if you prefer Facebook and Instagram, we’re going with #jklolwedding
- Speaking of photos, we’ll also have an old school polaroid camera at a table for you to play around with. While it’s an old concept, the camera is actually an updated model that even allows you take to selfies. Once you click the shutter button, your photo will pop out the side and you can hang it up with all the others. Fun! Fun!
I think that’s about everything. Any other questions, just let me know!
